After abt 2 hours journey in the mini van - arrived in Guangzhou
However, something 'bad' happened ......


We booked this Inn to stay in Guangzhou, in the end we were told they are unable to accept foreigners during this period.
The Inn was just newly opened in about a year ago..so everything is newly built and clean there which my uncle truly recommended us to book for this Inn..

But the news totally turned us off .. my uncle was so pissed off and almost threw his temper at the staffs.
How could they not told my uncle this when he made the booking with them days ago!!
Totally stupid! They can still accept the bookings at the counter few days ago and when we wanna check in, they told us they could not accept it..
Really pengsan!!!

After then, the staffs there have no choice but to make some amendments by making some calls for us to other hotels..
We decided on a hotel that my 3rd uncle used to stay in last time.
We all then took a cab down to the hotel which was about 10 mins away..

Hotel rates in China really damn funny..
In April = RMB 400+ but in May it can dropped to RMB 168
What a great difference right ?!?!?


Actually the hotel seemed rather old as compared to the Inn..but overall was still considerably clean and comfy =)

We were all then so hungry, we need our lunch..
After check-in, all put down our luggages and proceeded to a cafe opposite the hotel


Walking up n down on their overhead bridge is much more easiler and less tedious than wat we had in Singapore..

The steep is very low..


This place sold quite a lot of varieties of food - from claypot rice,claypot noodles, claypot porridges to wanton noodles etc to a lot of side orders!!

Dad ordered wanton noodles - dad commented wanton was nice but the noodles was lousy - he din finish it



I ordered frogs' legs rice - always has tian ji porridge in Singapore.
1st time tried out in rice form..Quite nice - i finished everything LOL

After lunch, it was time for some shopping.
We went to one of their wholesale retailing centre - Onelink



It was like Bangkok 's Platinum on wholesale stuffs.., buy more = more discounts but this centre dun hv much clothings for sale..
More of cutie stuffs, souvenoirs , bags , accessories , watches , neccessities , etc
To be frank, everything was very cheap but mum wasnt very interested with this mall..
Always pull me away...=(
Just dun like to shop with parents, always say this useless, that not nice
(Although they hv asked me to see wat i like and buy...)
In the end, see wat kanna commented on..OMG!

Moreover, the whole trip i never look @ their clothings haha coz totally not up to standard !!
Even tried to look for nice accessories also eventually give up..not a 'MUST GET' accessories i can lay my eyes and heart on..

Most of the things could easiler get in SG..



Inside the Mall


Saw a 'fake' florist shop haha, mum wanna get some for decor at home's balcony
Then found out they also selling those cutie blinds that i had in my room , well i din get any,coz i already had 2..one from SG , one from BKK..if get also no place to place it le haha!


Uncle and Auntie were at a shop selling some cuties & hello kitty , i joined in since i dun feel like going back empty handed on the 1st day LOL
So anyhow i chose these 2 kitty stuffs..damn cheap coz uncle bought a lot of stuff there so there were some discount - uncle paid these for me..=)

Then came across a shop selling umbrellas, a lot of designs
Above 10 of it = more discounts..
In the end, we got 25 umbrellas !!!!! hahaha!
Initially, we wondered how are we going to carry back SG with the weight limitation by Tiger Airways..

My auntie also got herself 15 of the umbrellas after she saw our loot!!
When we leavin the mall for dinner, it started to rain..
and we have 30 umbrellas and 3 self-brought umbrellas with us !! hahah!!!

This was the BEST fried rice we had - we tried a few of it from all the restuarants we went.
It may looked simple and normal but it really was damn fragrant and delicious!!!
We even ordered 2 plates of it.. Superb!!


Salmon sashimi - thumbs up !!


Chicken feet & grilled salmon - both also nice!


Prawns with fried tea leaves - very extraordinary taste =)
Buttered crabs - fantastic !

Fruit Platter

We din ordered desserts, dunno why all the restuarant in China dun sell desserts in liquid form.
Their desserts on the menu are always fried dumpling, pancakes, Gui Li Gao etc.

My uncle said he would bring us to a cafe which sells a lot of Tong Shui (desserts)


See! Peanut and sesame seed paste , even has thicky redbean soup!


I ordered sesame seed paste with tang yuan =)
The paste was nice but with the tang yuan was then a bit too filling le..tummy almost explode!

After dessert, time to call it a day le
